There are literally hundreds of different tyre brands, ranging from some of the most famous brands in the world, to others you will never have heard of.

The quality of tyres you buy will also differ from brand to brand, as will the price you pay, and the number of miles you will get out of your tyres. Whilst budget tyres may seem attractive because they cost half the price, in reality they may only travel a third of the distance.

The biggest tyre brands also have the money and facilities to plough into research, which means they can develop tyres which help stop your car quicker in emergencies, and help keep your car on the road in bad weather.
